SEO Specialist

SCS is currently seeking an SEO specialist to join our growing team. The SEO specialist will work with the Sr. SEO Manager and contribute to the day-to-day execution of SEO efforts. This person will assist in optimized copywriting, creating meta descriptions, and title tags, auditing websites, and more while ensuring marketing efforts are top-quality. They will be analyzing results and recommending new strategies for improvement to the Sr. SEO Manager. The right candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and can advocate for exceptional solutions that are in the best interest of the client.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write optimized copy for landing pages and blogs
  • Review SEO results to help brainstorm the best strategy for each client, using the SEO tools at your disposal
  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion
  • Research client competitors to find content and keyword gaps
  • Sometimes assist in preparing for client meetings and presentations
  • Audit client websites for new optimization opportunities, and assist in building qualified backlinks
  • Optimize local search listings and report on results

 Required Experience, Education, Demonstrated Skills, and Abilities

  • 1+ years of agency/in-house SEO experience or marketing degree with a focus in SEO
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Familiar with Google Analytics and Search Console
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote
  • Able to thrive in a team environment where collaboration is key
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail
