Schiefer Media was originally formed in 1985 by Carl Schiefer as an independent media agency helping automotive aftermarket brands develop TV advertising and sponsorship programs. After James Schiefer joined in 2001, Schiefer Media found significant organic growth, becoming an omnichannel data driven media powerhouse with an emphasis on digital marketing.
Schiefer Media evolved once more in 2016 after acquiring the creative content studio ChopShop. Rebranded as SCS, the agency turned its focus to Brand Transformation through the amalgamation of data science and creativity to help brands reach their peak performance. Continuing its growth in 2018, SCS acquired Fuel, an L.A. and Ottawa based digital agency that brought UX, Digital Product Development, branded entertainment and gaming capabilities to the portfolio. SCS continued its push once again in 2021 by acquiring the Atlanta base performance marketing agency, Swarm. With more than 50 new employees, SCS now added e-commerce, performance media, SEO and strategy roles to its capabilities, and new clients in B2B, Finance, and Retail sectors.
In 2022, SCS became Orange County, California’s largest independent agency and 3rd largest on the Orange County Business Journal’s agency listing, just behind Hyundai’s Innocean and Ingram Micro’s Agency, Ingram Micro.
As an integrated, technology and data focused marketing consultancy and advertising agency, SCS is now positioned to accelerate their growth more than ever, with plans to acquire agencies in U.S., Canada, and Europe, and bring the SCS brand to more markets with global reach, providing technology marketing consultancy and brand building services to national and global clients.
