SCS LAUNCHES BOLD NEW "OBSESSION IS GOOD" FOR BALDWIN HARDWARE
With a 75-year heritage of unparalleled craftsmanship and a reputation for impeccable quality, it would be tempting for Baldwin hardware to rest on its laurels. To break through to the next generation of interior designers and luxury home owners, Baldwin has embarked on creating a brand campaign that is aimed at the emerging class of HENRYs – High Earners Not Rich Yet – who won't settle for anything less. "Obsession is Good" centers on the idea that a discontent with average hardware has fueled the evolution of the Baldwin brand and their customers' passion for quality.
This month, we opened our new Costa Mesa HQ in signature style. With live music, local catering, and a lot of awesome people all coming in to celebrate our new space, SCS's first Open House at the new Office was a huge success. We had guests and friends from Orange County’s most notable institutions like the Orange County Business Journal, TCL, Irvine Company, Dish Networks, Activision Blizzard, Weedmaps, and Spectrum Brands along with clients from Falken Tire, partners at Google and Interpret, and even OG ChopShop founder Ken Anderson. You don’t find such a unique blend of talented tech and creative partners just anywhere.
THE TRADE DESK: WHAT NETFLIX BRINGING ADS TO ITS PLATFORM MEANS FOR TV ADVERTISERS
After years of indicating they were not interested in bringing ads to the platform, Netflix has announced that it is considering creating a cheaper subscription option that includes advertising. With platforms like Hulu, Amazon, and Disney+ already offering hybrid ad and subscription plans, "Netflix offering advertising in a tiered subscription model will only accelerate the move to all TV advertising becoming digital, programmatic, and tiered,” says SCS's Chief Strategy Officer, Jeff Roach.
This month, SCS went deep into Web 3.0 with the publication of “The Marketer's Guide to Web 3.0 and the Metaverse” and a pilot project in Meta’s Horizon Worlds. SCS PUBLISHES "THE MARKETER'S GUIDE TO WEB 3.0 AND THE METAVERSE"
After months of anticipation, our very own white paper on the metaverse is finally here! Informed by months of data research and written by our Director of Innovation, Sean McPhedran, "The Marketer's Guide to Web 3.0 and the Metaverse" lays out the massive changes to digital marketing as Web 3.0 supplants Web 2.0, and consumers begin to spend even more time online than they have before. SCS ENTERS THE METAVERSE WITH A PILOT VIRTUAL OFFICE
SCS was among 11 agencies featured by AdAge alongside shops like Accenture, Havas, Media.Monks, and R/GA with pilot "offices" built out in the metaverse. "The point of the metaverse in many ways is to take advantage of the builder tools and to create new and fantastical worlds to be social in,” explains Chief Strategy Officer, Jeff Roach. SCS's virtual office will be called "SCS Beach," loosely based off of Christmas Cove in Laguna Beach, but with a twist: the team is adding a secret cave on the island that replicates a secret lounge space in SCS's new Costa Mesa HQ, a starship mini-game and more. MEDIAPOST: SCS REPORTS 64% OF CONSUMERS ARE AWARE OF METAVERSE CONCEPT
As part of our new report on the Metaverse, MediaPost featured SCS's study of 600 U.S. consumers to gauge their familiarity with Web 3.0 concepts. Not only did 64% of respondents tell us they were aware of of the metaverse, 57% stated they were interested in interfacing with Meta's offerings in the future. The results indicate that the interest in the new digital frontier is growing and becoming increasingly normal.
