Position Overview

The Display Advertising Planner/buyer has a deep understanding of the current display & digital media landscape and have a proven track record of success driving results in against specific KPIs such as customer acquisition and web site visits. The role requires someone who lives and breathes digital marketing, is results-driven and highly analytical.  The Planner will be responsible for the planning, execution, optimization and reporting of display campaigns and have experience across one or more DSPs and direct to publishers plans with the ability to drive full-funnel results. You will be joining a talented team and will be required to work collaboratively with everyone- building relationships with clients and other internal teams.  SCS is seeking someone who can handle multiple projects delivering high quality work on-time and be able to provide clients and internal teams with valuable insights to improve the success of campaigns.

Job Functions

  • Proven experience in building and managing display campaigns
  • Present media plan and optimization recommendations to clients
  • Hand-on experience building, managing and optimizing campaigns / audiences within multiple DSPs
  • Excellent grasp of data analytics with the ability to analyze results and maximize performance with an ability to translate data to insights & actions
  • Reporting and campaign performance dashboard upkeep. Experience with automated dashboards (e.g. Domo, Tableau, SQL, etc) a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel in order to manage and work with large amounts of excel data
  • Campaign billing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify, communicate, solve and follow up on issues that arise on a daily and weekly basis
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Requirements

  • Review running and completed campaigns on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and discuss efforts with senior staff and other internal departments
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other departments such as accounts, strategy and creative to ensure smooth, consistent and effective campaigns
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail (for own work and QA’ing team work)
  • Inform internal team members about opportunities, challenges and marketplace/technology developments
  • Evaluate media opportunities and provide solid and actionable POVs
  • Investigate and utilize information from syndicated research sources
  • Stay apprised of industry standard and new media programs

Required Experience, Education, Demonstrated Skills, and Abilities

  • 2+ years digital marketing experience in display advertising
  • Agency experience is preferred
  • Recent platform experience in one or more DSP
  • Track record of exceeding campaign goals
